The Kimberley, and in particular Kununurra and surrounds, is worth the wait!

We can’t wait to welcome you – especially as we all navigate this temporary way of life brought about by COVID-19. It’s important to us that you can travel with confidence – we are open (with modified operations) and have adjusted our operational procedures to ensure the highest level of hygiene for the safety of our staff and guests. Our COVID-19 Safety Plan is available here.

Welcome to a destination brimming with some of the state’s most striking natural landscapes. Kununurra and the East Kimberley region is filled with mystery, culture and some of Western Australia’s most prized natural attractions.

Testimonials

Restaurant food was great, service was excellent especially from Rica and Selina. Cocktails were delicious. Our stay was wonderful

Our stay here has exceeded our expectations even though KCCR came highly recommended. Your staff are world class from House Keeping to April each morning and Sam on reception and the waiters serving at night. Congratulations on making our trip very memorable.

John & Angela Hansen

I have always found the staff to be welcoming, friendly and always happy to go the extra mile to make a guests stay even more rewarding. They are also very flexible with changes that can sometimes happen at short notice

Grant Molloy Tour & Program Manager Unparalleled Journeys

This was my first time in Kununurra and my stay at the KCCR was first rate. Everyone was attentive and helpful and the facilities and rooms are excellent. Thank you.

Clean tidy, great hosts and a free pickup service from the airport. We stayed and dined in every night and found the service in the Bar, restaurant and reception to be great. The food was exceptional and I would not hesitate to stay there if travelling through the region again.

Our flight from Broome to Kununurra arrived 30 minutes early so we had to wait for our free transfer to KCC to arrive. Amanda turned up in the minivan very apologetic and a little flustered that we had to wait. She was lovely and very informative about the area and the accommodation on our 5 km trip to the resort. What concerned us most was her advice when we settle into our room was to lock away all our valuables in the safe and don’t leave anything out on the balcony. Our room was comfortable but being on the 1st floor we had to lug our suitcases up the flight of stairs to our room. No wheelchair access here. After settling in we went for dinner at the restaurant and returned for a good nights sleep, albeit with one eye open and a chair against the inside of the door. With the shortage of staff I think these guys try really hard to make your stay as good as it can possibly be.

The Kununurra Country Club is fine for a short stay. The rooms are motel style - basic but comfortable (and with good air conditioning!). They have had a recent refresh (although whoever painted our bathroom seemed to (wrongly!) think they were using a no drips paint!) The pool are is nice - with good shade. We had one dinner buffet style and one a la carte. The buffet meal was not great - with much of it over cooked or stewed. The a la carte was better - solid pub style food. One of our party tried the pizza and said it was pretty good. Breakfast buffet included plenty of fresh food. A comfortable stay and with friendly staff.
